YGOAL PROFILE

YGOAL is a consulting and training social enterprise organization that delivers high impact programs on organizational development, training and development, and impact assessment. It is an accredited Continuing Professional Development training institution for Teachers Education by the Professional Regulatory Commission  and YORP recognized organization in the National Youth Commission.

Founded in 2013, YGOAL has established strong partnerships with over 55 organizations  nationwide in both government and non-government sectors, the academe, faith-based  organizations, and the private sector. Some of its partners include BPI Foundation, United States  Agency for International Development (USAID), Department of Education (DepEd), Department  of Health (DOH), Ramon Aboitiz Foundation (RAFI), and AXA Philippines. YGOAL was a lead  facilitator for training of trainer services for DAI for the Project Protect Wildlife with participants  from law enforcement, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), and  prosecutors from the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Partnerships

For over two years, YGOAL has been the US  Embassy in the Philippines’ chosen partner institution in selecting the Young Southeast Asian  Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Fellows for a 6-week fellowship training program at the University of  Montana. YSEALI is the US government’s program to strengthen leadership development and  networking in Southeast Asia.

On a global level, YGOAL is the Philippine hub for the ASEAN  Youth Community - a non-profit organization based in Singapore with operations in Southeast Asia. Since 2017, it is the Philippine Linking and Learning  Facilitator of VOICE – a grant facility managed by Hivos and Oxfam Novib funded by the Ministry  of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. The VOICE Linking and Learning program implements  capacity building programs for grantee organizations, enabling them to build connections with  critical stakeholders in amplifying their advocacies covering Women, Youth, Elderly, Persons with  Disabilities, Indigenous Peoples and the LGBTQIA+ communities.

Milestones

In 2019, YGOAL partnered with the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance or  INCEIF – the Global University on Islamic Finance based in Malaysia, to conduct Islamic finance  workshops for select government and non-government organizations in the Philippines.

In 2020-2021, Philippine Business for Education (PBEd) chose YGOAL as its youth engagement  partner for its project aimed at capacitating and helping the youth find meaningful jobs or advance  in their careers. Foundation for the Philippine Environment (FPE), the first grant-making  organization for civil-society environmental initiatives in the Philippines, likewise partnered with  YGOAL to reach out to youth organizations to join in the cause and advocate for biodiversity and  biodiversity conservation. YGOAL’s role in both programs is to create innovative and strategic  approaches to reach targeted youth sectors to achieve the objectives set by the projects.

Recognitions

Recently, YGOAL was selected by the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation to co-design and facilitate a long-term leadership development program for their scholars. In addition, YGOAL was also chosen as the implementation partner of International Organization for Migration to handle the project aligned with STEP (Supporting Conflict Transformation Toward Effective Peacebuilding in BARMM) Conflict Mediation and Conflict Prevention Capacity Building for BIWAB in the province of Maguindanao and the Special Administrative Areas of BARMM.

Services

YGOAL’s core team has expertise on leadership, youth development, education,  entrepreneurship, program management, civic engagement, community organizing, and digital  literacy. In addition, a 100-strong professional consultant pool of diverse expertise ensures the  provision of distinct quality services.

As a social enterprise, YGOAL’s professional services allows it to fulfill its social mission by  providing small grants, empowerment sessions, mentoring clinics, and advocacy immersions to  youth and youth-serving organizations.
