Training Officer

The Junior Payroll Officer is responsible for calculating employees’ compensation, updating the internal payroll databases and ensuring timely payments. A payroll officer must be especially good with numbers and be familiar with Australian labour laws. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Payroll: ● Collect daily, weekly or monthly timesheets● Calculate bonuses and allowances● Prepare employees’ compensation by the end of each month using payroll software● Ensure that all employees receive their salaries on the appropriate date as specified by the company (5th and 20th of the month)● Schedule bank payments or hand out paychecks directly to employees● Ensure wages and tax withholdings comply with regulationsRequirements: ● Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.● Minimum of 2 years experience in general accounting or payroll processing (entering timesheets, processing leave, entering payroll into a payroll system, generating payment files, preparing payroll reports and journal)● Knowledgeable in payroll tax related matters● Working knowledge in any payroll software and SAP
